Went out to Lee Canyon for their first annual Oktoberfest. If you’ve never been, go next time. I’d highly recommend it. The place is absolutely beautiful. Fall in the mountains, lifts running, bikes out on the trails, live bands playing. Great music the whole time. It felt like a real mountain day, not just a parking-lot event with a tent and a beer tent. Worth the drive. Caught a local Vegas band “Mimi & the Rivieras”

High Pines Trail is gorgeous in July! Lee Canyon is ~20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. The trail is moderately difficult with steep and rocky switchbacks. Worth the view! You can purchase a lift ticket if you prefer to hike up/down one way. Tourists should go when the grill and coffee shop are open for maximum enjoyment. If you're not comfortable driving up a mountain, take the route that's farther north from the highway. Lee Canyon also offers a seasonal
It’s a tiny ski area with two chairlifts (that go to the “top”), just a few runs and very little vertical. It’s also 45 minutes from one of the hottest cities in the US, isn’t crowded, no traffic in or out, park for free 3 minutes from the lifts, has more snow than you can imagine, no lines and the most sane priced lift tickets in America. It’s absolutely perfect for locals, what more can you expect from a ski area in the desert?! Unbeatable value with min
I’ve been loving coming up here for the summer concert series. It’s the perfect escape from the Vegas heat. One of my favorite parts is grabbing a beer at the lodge, catching a cool buzz, taking in the mountain views, spotting the wild horses, and watching the mountain bikers fly down the trails. Such a great way to spend a summer day.
Great place for the family. There is a restaurant, store and a bike gear store here . I went on a friday afternoon with my brother. Vegas was in the 90s and it was in the 70s here. Nice open air chairlift with scenic view of mountains. Also seperate lift for mountain bikers. Nothing at top of chairlift except view so just go up and come right back down.
